Heavy-Duty Naphthalene Based Solvent
CC 925HD is a heavy-duty hydrocarbon-based cleaner with a small surfactant package that is used with wash oil, light cycle oil, light gas oil or diesel. CC 925HD is usually used as a pretreatment chemistry when units are coming down for turnaround.

The CC 925HD and gas oil are circulated through the unit’s circuits for 12 to 24 hours at a temperature of 180 degrees (85C). This circulation breakdowns heavy hydrocarbon deposits found in packed sections, bottoms of process vessels and heat exchangers. The circulation liquid can then be sent to slop oil to be re processed where the wash oil can be reclaimed and the CC 925HD will split out in the light end section of the process. This process pre-cleans 90 to 95% of the process circuit leaving the vapor phase cleaning and decontamination & degassing phase much more effective and reduces the overall process time as 90-95% of cleaning happens during the shutting down process itself. The waste generation is limited to 10-15% as compared to competition chemistries as most of the spent solvents are recovered.
